Where do we even start - this INCREDIBLE expo is going to be the event of the year! With national speakers like Joel Salatin, Shawn & Beth Dougherty, Holistic Hilda, Dr. Sina McCullough, Darryl Patton (The Southern Herbalist - also a former Alaskan), David Stelzer from Azure Standard, and Jeff Mattocks from Fertrell Feed - we are going to learn skills from some of the wisest people in the entire nation.

The fellows from Hand Hewn Farms are coming to not only process an entire pig (over the course of two days) but they are also going to be talking about how to process various wild game and livestock. PLUS, local mobile slaughter guy Graham Oakes will show how to slaughter humanely.
But wait - we're still not done!
We also have so many local experts - again, the wisest in our great state, coming to teach homestead skills as a local.
Could this get any better?
Ummm ... yeah.
We're also throwing in square dance lessons, just for fun! Because all work and no play makes the homestead lifestyle very dull.
I know what you're thinking .... this is probably it, right?
Nope!
I mean, what's a party without ice cream?
Well, it's just not a party!
So, we're having an ice cream social on Saturday, too.
OH! And church on Sunday, of course. Complete with a bluegrass worship band and Joel Salatin as our preacher.
I know! It just keeps getting better!

Ooooh yeah ....
So - you may be asking "What do I do with my kids?"
OOH! Pick me! I have an answer for that!
We have TWO programs for kids. We have a kidsteader program for kids who are between the ages of 4 and 11. This is going to be two full days of crafting and having fun with the homestead lifestyle. Or, we have a youth program for ages 12-18 that's geared more toward older kids.
*NOTE: If you don't want to put your kids in the kidsteader or youth program, you sure don't have to! However, if you plan to bring them to an adult class, they will either need to be on your lap or have an adult ticket. There are only seats for adult ticket holders.
