The Alameda Holiday Boutique Turns 45 in 2025!!The Alameda Holiday Boutique started back in 1979 at the Veteran's Memorial Building on the corner of Central Ave. and Walnut Street in Alameda. Then, and now, the entire operation is entirely organized and presented by volunteers.
In 2016, the then 37 year old Holiday Boutique, moved from the Veteran's Memorial facility to its current location, the Albert H. DeWitt Officer's Club (nicknamed The O'Club) at Alameda Point.
The use of the O'Club, as well as the older Veteran's Memorial Building are generously provided by the City of Alameda's Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD). The O'Club is spacious with over 8,700 square feet of space. The event takes place in the Entry Foyer, Trident Room, Squadron Room, Terrace Room and the elegant Main Ballroom.
From its start in 1979, this event has been held every year, except for one. In 2020, the Alameda Holiday Boutique was cancelled due to the Covid Pandemic.
This event is always well attended by Alamedans and shoppers from all over the East Bay and San Francisco.
