Join artist and educator Doug Baulos for a two-day exploration of dyeing, stitching, mending, and creative sustainability.
Day 1: Natural Dye & Indigo Lab
Learn foundational dye and print processes including itajime, indigo formation, eco-printing, mordants, and resists. Participants will fold and dye cotton and linen fabrics, working with both natural dyes and indigo to create layered, expressive surfaces.
Note: Please bring 6–10 small cotton/linen samples or upcycled garments.

Day 2: Open Sew & Zokin-Making Studio
Explore stitching, darning, mending, and zokin-style cloth construction using the materials created on Day 1 or brought from home. Drop in for a day of mindful making focused on upcycling, repair, and the stories carried in cloth. Sewing experience is welcome but not required—machines and tools will be available.
