About the AKC ACT
AKC Agility course tests are entry level agility events designed to introduce beginner agility dogs and handlers to the exciting world of competition agility!
In addition to running your dog in a trial-like environment, you’ll gain hands-on learning about:
- Filling out an entry form
- Helping at a trial
- Trial rules and regulations
Who can participate?
Dogs who are at least 15 months old and have not yet earned an AKC Agility Title are eligible to enter. Dogs who have legs towards novice AKC agility titles may still enter. Mixed breeds are welcome and dogs do not have to be registered with AKC, but can be registered the day of the event. You may enter ACT1J, ACT2J, and ACT1 - there are no pre-qualifications to enter any/all of the classes.
