Experience a Live Bluefin Tuna Cutting Performance, followed by all-you-can-eat tuna sashimi and sushi, prepared fresh before your eyes.

Watch our master chef expertly break down an entire bluefin tuna using traditional Japanese techniques, while sharing the history, precision, and artistry behind this centuries-old practice. Immediately following the performance, enjoy sashimi and sushi prepared from the very same fish—at the peak of freshness.

This is a signature regular event at Akari Japanese Bistro and has become one of San Francisco’s most sought-after Japanese dining experiences.

Our tuna cutting nights regularly sell out well in advance due to extremely limited seating and the rarity of a live bluefin tuna cutting experience.
Early booking is strongly recommended.
