aja monet won the esteemed Nuyorican Poets Café Grand Slam title at 19—the youngest winner ever. Her work proudly takes its place in a long tradition of poets who have tuned their work to social causes. Her most recent record, the Grammy nominated "when the poems do what they do," was co-produced by monet and Chief Adjuah (who himself will appear in a Club Hancher performance this season). The album is a stirring example of her revolutionary spirit and activist heart. She will be joined by a top-tier jazz quartet as she brings her words reflecting and reimagining reality to Infinite Dream.
