There is nothing quite like the moment your feet leave the floor and the music catches you. Air steps are the biggest thrill in Lindy Hop, and the good news is that the thrill comes from control, not courage.
In this workshop, Nacho and Luisa break down what is actually happening underneath the flying: connection, counterbalance, timing, and that split second of preparation that makes everything after it possible. You will learn how to send, how to go, and how to land, and you will do it on solid ground before anyone goes anywhere near the air.
From there, a small number of classic figures drawn from the vintage clips, with the focus on doing few things well. Clean preparation, honest communication between partners, and knowing when an air step belongs in a dance and when it does not.
Expect to sweat, to spot for each other, and to laugh a lot.
Bring: Sneakers you trust, water, and a partner you trust even more.
