About this Event
Over the past 30 years, the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) has supported more than 4,000 companies to raise nearly £135 billion in equity capital. However, AIM now faces a challenge of having to balance high regulatory standards, including on environmental, social and governance issues, with the flexibility required for smaller businesses to maximise their potential.
Confirmation from Chancellor Rachel Reeves that AIM shares will have a 20% inheritance tax applied to them gave small-cap investors some relief following weeks of speculation. However, this speculation added to the already ongoing discussion over how best to make it more competitive. For AIM companies and smaller businesses considering their options for capital raising these are live questions, which require careful consideration.
We would be delighted if you would join us to consider:
- The future of the AIM market and how companies listed on AIM can prepare for potential changes
- Considerations for AIM-listed businesses that are looking to widen their investor base, through best practice in ESG for example
- Best practice in marketing AIM businesses to investors, from investor relations to reporting
Join us to hear from and put your questions to:
- Marcus Stuttard, Chief Executive, Alternative Investment Market
- Charles Hall, Head of Research, Peel Hunt
- Jeegar Kakkad, Tony Blair Institute
