Classes are Saturdays at 10am and you can begin at any time, or drop in before making a commitment. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, physical ability or affiliation (17yrs+ age).
846 Church Rd, Sunshine Coast, BC V0N 1V1, Canada
$25 per class. Enquiries and etransfer of fees: [email protected]. A square invoice can be sent as well for credit card transactions.
Come experience the 'Art of Peace. Aikido develops coordination of mind and body to help with the stresses of daily life. Calmness, relaxation and developing non-aggression as our subconscious state allows us the full extension of our power.
Ki Aikido contrasts with mainstream or Aikikai Aikido in that it integrates aspects of Japanese yoga ('shin shin toitsu do').
Working in pairs, exercises teach us to harmonize our movement and 'ki' with the attacking momentum of our partner, helping us become more confident and ready for the manifold challenges in life. This is truly "winning without fighting."
Classes are open to anyone regardless of physical ability, Aikido rank, school, affiliation or experience. Please note our Aikido is focused on ki development (mind-body coordination) for daily life, similar to Ki Society.
Sensei Michael Gordon has over three decades of teaching and training experience in Aikido, with the distinction of completing a PhD dissertation on the subject.
