About this Event
OUR STORY
The first Hoofbeats & Christmas Carols Parade started in 2009 with 19 horses. It has grown to over 200 horses, 12 carriages and 100 dogs. This will be our 15th Parade!
All participants are in holiday attire, including the animals, singing Christmas carols throughout downtown. We are excited for you to be a part of this annual Aiken holiday tradition.

AIKEN HOOFBEATS CHRISTMAS PARADE
Although the name has changed the tradition continues! Aiken Hoofbeats Christmas Parade will include a new route with horses beginning in Gyles Park, down Park Avenue, Left on Chesterfield, Right to the The Wilcox, Right on Newberry, Left on Park Ave. SW, Right on Laurens up to Barnwell Ave, with the lead group stopping at Trinity on Laurens Senior Living Residence. The dog walkers will join the Parade starting at the County Courthouse on the corner of Park Ave. and Chesterfield St.
STAGING FOR PARTICIPANTS
Please be aware we have limited the number of registrants due to parking availability.
HORSE/PONY
12:00 pm. The staging area for all horses/ponies begins at noon at Gyles Park at the intersection of Union St. SE and Park Ave. SE. Each participant must check-in at Registration and provide a signed copy of the HOLD HARMLESS AND RELEASE WAIVER. After purchasing a ticket, each registrant will receive an email with the WAIVER language which can be printed.
CARRIAGES/CARTS
12:00 pm check in. We will have a limited number of Carriage/Cart participants due to space limitations. There will be specific parking for this group at Gyles Park. Each participant must check-in at Registration and provide a signed copy of the HOLD HARMLESS AND RELEASE WAIVER. After purchasing a ticket, each registrant will receive an email with the WAIVER language which can be printed.
DOGS
12:30. Dogs staging area will begin at 12:30 at the County Courthouse on the corner of Chesterfield St. and Park Ave. There is no specified parking for dog registrants. Please park at your convenience. Each participant must check-in at Registration and provide a signed copy of the HOLD HARMLESS AND RELEASE WAIVER. After purchasing a ticket, each registrant will receive an email with the WAIVER language which can be printed.
