We are excited to welcome patients and caregivers living in the Northeast to the AIHA Northeast Connect, a first-of-its-kind regional conference designed to empower the autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) community through education, connection, and meaningful interaction with leading experts from North America and Europe.
✨ Wednesday Welcome Reception
Join us this evening at the Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill from 5:00–7:00 PM for a Welcome Reception featuring complimentary appetizers and beverages. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow patients, caregivers, advocates, and healthcare professionals before the conference begins.
📅 Thursday Conference Highlights
We have a full agenda focused on helping patients and caregivers better understand and manage AIH.
Tentative Topics include:
🔹 Understanding AIH and how the immune system affects the liver
🔹 Learning what lab results and diagnostic tests mean
🔹 Current treatments, medications, and treatment goals
🔹 Unmet needs in AIH and whether current therapies are enough
🔹 Clinical trials and emerging treatment options
🔹 Hot topics in AIH research
🔹 Fatigue and symptom burden: why it matters and what can help
🔹 Women's health and AIH
🔹 A special joint session with the International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group
🔹 Non-invasive monitoring and the future of disease tracking
🔹 Complementary and lifestyle approaches to managing AIH
🔹 Living well with AIH and the future of patient care
✨The day will also include interactive Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, breaks, breakfast, lunch, and an evening dinner reception at the historic Liberty Hotel Boston. ✨
📅 Friday Opportunity
Participants may choose to remain for the second day of the International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group (IAIHG) Workshop and attend additional expert presentations.
💡 This patient-centered conference will cover the foundations of AIH while addressing real-world challenges such as fatigue, quality of life, treatment options, clinical trials, lifestyle considerations, and future therapies. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from international experts, ask questions, and connect with others who understand the AIH journey.
⚠️ Please note: Conference presentations will not be recorded.
🎟 Registration is $10 per participant, and attendance is limited to 50 participants, so space is extremely limited.
