Announcing the Aida Belly Dancer's second ever hafla!!! And if that wasn’t exciting enough Heike will also be running a zills workshop.
Location: Upham Village Hall, Mortimers Lane, Lower Upham SO32 1HF. There are 40 parking spaces available at the venue.
Workshop Details:
Time: 11:30am – 1pm
Cost: £15 (minimum attendance of 10 people required)
Killar Zillar: You may not be aware, but Heike was a classical belly dancer before she turned to the darker side! Having trained extensively with Keti Sharif, Heike is excited to bring you some of the folkloric A-Z signature combinations. They are dynamic on their own, but overlayed with meaningful zillar patterns, will elevate your performance to the next level! Let’s have fun!
Heike, aka “Akasha” has been studying various forms of “belly dance” for eternerity; her aims are to promote a number of benefits that this dance style offers, such as mental and physical well-being, a safe space and community. Heike has Black Sheep Belly Dance Satellite Studio Status and is a member of this international tribe. Her own "Tribe of the Honeybadgers" is known and sought after for their innovative and creative style. Josephine Wise Academy, Keti Sharif, Kajira Djoumahna, her Tribal Mother, Ariellah, Amy Sigil, Valenteena Ianni and Belladonna.
Heike is also a certified Team Sync Level 1 and 2 Instructor and has progressed up to Level 5 in Belladonna’s Bohemian Blade Academy!

Heike's motto is: "Die of exhaustion, not boredom"......Heike has a full-time job as Project Controller; getting information out of Project Managers is a bit like herding cats.....she holds a post grad degree in Project Control and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Heike is a polyglot; her latest "obsession" is learning Italian. She also likes crafting - both, with fibers and in the witchy sense, reading and travelling!!
If attending for the workshop and halfa there is a gastro pub directly opposite the venue for lunch. You are also welcome to bring your own food. There is a garage or local Sainsbury’s about 10 minutes drive away, but nothing within walking distance.
Hafla Details:
Time: 2:30pm – 5:30pm (doors open at 2pm)
Tickets are £10 in advance. £6 for non-dancers. Children are more than welcome and children under 10 go free. A ticket must be purchased in advance in order to secure a dance slot.

A 2nd hand zouk will be available. Please bring anything you would like to sell. Please may all items be clearly labelled with your name, price and contact number. Lorraine from Sweet Monday Sparkles will be there selling her gorgeous t-shirts. Yvonne's Sparkles Jewellery Stall will also be there selling her fabulous jewellery.
Please bring food and drink for your own table.
All proceeds from the halfa will go to the Neonatal Unit in the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
