Australian Institute of Company Directors: Company Directors Course™.
NML Inc is hosting the AICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors) training locally in Mildura in November this year.
The 5-day training course is a must in career development and Board skillsets and very highly regarded. We will be holding this at La Trobe Uni from the week of the 18-22 November, 8:30 till 4:30pm every day (all catering provided).
The Company Directors Course™ is a suitable way to upskill both existing and new directors. The Company Directors Course is the AICD’s leading course, dominating our course calendar nationwide and the Australian governance market. Since its inception over 40 years ago it is considered indispensable education for all new and current directors and for many participants represents a gateway to both their director career and their affiliation with AICD through membership.
Below outlines the detailed program scope and proposed content. The areas will be further refined in conjunction with our facilitators.
Increasingly, directors are expected—by both regulators and stakeholders—to undertake a number of governance, compliance and strategic functions. This course provides an overview of the practice of directorship and the mindset of a director as a leader of an organisation, before examining the directors’ duties and legal environment, risk oversight, strategy contribution, financial performance analysis, decision making, board and organisational culture, board dynamics and measuring board effectiveness.
Learning opportunities are maximised through discussion of the Vector International Limited case study as well as other case studies incorporated throughout the course.
The program will be delivered in-house in the form of face-to face facilitated sessions with the following features:

- Access to Interpreting Financial Statements eLearning course;
- Access to The Director Mindset eLearning course;
- Access to videos of the integrated case study – Vector International
- Optional assessment.
Being ran locally saves business flights and a week’s accommodation in Melbourne and the staff get to sleep in their own beds. The course cost will be $10,000 per person plus GST and includes a one-year membership valued at $850, and access to any AICD business lounge around the Nation.
