About this Event

AIAA New England Honors & Awards event

The AIAA New England Section is organizing an Honors & Awards ceremony in April to recognize our AIAA members’ achievements and service to the aeronautics, astronautics, and aerospace industry. Our program will be in April 2026 in the Boston area between 5:30-8:00pm. Each attendee will receive access to the awards program, dinner and reception.

Our 2025-2026 Honors and Awards will be presented to our outstanding recipients in the following categories:

  • Young Professional Engineer of the Year (35 and under)
  • STEM Educator of the Year-Collegiate Level
  • Futures in Aerospace Award: Awarded to outstanding high school seniors who intend to pursue a curriculum in engineering or the physical or applied sciences pertinent to aerospace
  • Torch Bearers in Aerospace Award
  • Honorary Fellows, Fellows and Associate Fellows recognition
  • Member recognition(40,50,60 years of membership)

Event Goals:

1. Recognize the contribution of distinguished AIAA members and their service to the society and the aerospace community

2. Provide young professionals with an opportunity to build professional knowledge related to fields, organizations, and roles to inform their professional curiosity and future decisions.

3. Provide students with an opportunity to build/add to their professional community by interacting with peers and panelists who have common interests in fields, organizations, and roles.

Time: 5:30-8:00pm

Date: April 21st 2026

Venue: Draper, Cambridge MA

Address: One Hampshire Street, Room 1409, Cambridge

Important information: Registration closes 3 weeks in advance for foreign nationals and a week in advance for US citizens

Parking info: Garage address is 800 Technology Square and the entrance is directly across from the Draper building. It’s important to use the “Draper” garage entrance and NOT the “Technology Square” entrance. The address is the same and they are adjoining buildings, but separate garages with separate entrances. The gates will be open and it says “Draper” right above the entrance.

Costs for the event, including dinner will be covered by the New England Section and AIAA Region I. The dinner will be catered by Bertucci's
