AIA Northern Indiana September Program

Join fellow AIA Northern Indiana members and friends for an insightful presentation and guided tour of the under-construction Northwest Indiana Correctional Facility. The Westville campus situated on 87 acres with 1.4 million square feet of buildings and a total of 28 buildings (four will be renovated). The projected date for completion of the facility is the first quarter of 2027. This event will delve into the architectural and engineering innovations that define this state-of-the-art correctional facility. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the design principles, construction challenges, and the facility’s role in modern correctional practices. The tour will highlight key features such as the dedicated mental health unit, addiction recovery unit, educational spaces, vocational building, and sustainable design elements.

Mark is part of the Project Support Services team as an Owners Representative and Project Manager who is representing the Department of Corrections at the state-of-the-art New Westville Correctional Facility with Construction planned for 2023-2027 and $1.2B in estimated costs.
