In this workshop series, we'll demystify AI and examine the nature of machine learning through hands-on experiences, discussion, and play – thinking deeply about digital, analog and human learning spaces.
From there, we'll explore AI, from its strengths and potential in education to its limits and risks, to frame the development or refinement of a sound AI policy for your school or district.
Our goal is for you to support and inspire each other through the creation and implementation of an AI/technology action plan. One that goes beyond merely setting safety-oriented guidelines and rules to creating a roadmap that will guide your community toward using AI to improve equity, teacher efficacy and student achievement. And have fun doing it!
The series entails four days of in-person workshops over two weeks, then four required, in-person quarterly checkins to support participants through their job-embedded culminating project. These will be shared with colleagues during our final session to celebrate our work!
