The AI meetup series is an informal meeting event to discuss, present and challenge various topics in the rapidly expanding field of AI and related domains. The meetups are intended both for enthusiasts, artists, creative minds as well as professionals, researchers working with and/or in AI.
During these meetups we offer participants to present a specific topic, use case, work in progress where AI plays a central role. The meetups are free to join but registration is required. Get your free tickets via https://aimeetup02.eventbrite.be.

For this second meetup we are thrilled to host a presentation by artist/researcher Umut Eldem who is currently doctoral researcher at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, and musical director at the international theater company Mixed and United.
Umut Eldem is a composer, musician, and researcher. He currently teaches music theory and audiovisual composition and is the coordinator of the research group CREATIE at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. As a Max Certified Trainer, he teaches and regularly organizes workshops on creative coding. The compositions and audiovisual installations of Umut Eldem combine cross-modal experiences with inventive technology, using sound, color, and innovative methods to explore artistic boundaries. He has given lectures on his research on cross-modal art and technology, and has had his compositions performed in many countries and events around the world.
