AI Fundamentals Workshop
This beginner-friendly session introduces participants to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and how to use modern AI tools responsibly in everyday work.
Participants will explore how frontier AI models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude turn prompts into useful outputs, and how these tools can support productivity, research, and problem-solving.
Through demonstrations and hands-on exercises, attendees will learn the basics of effective prompting, work with text and spreadsheets, and explore multimodal AI capabilities that combine multiple input types.
The session also covers responsible AI use, including privacy considerations, recognizing bias and hallucinations, and understanding the limitations of AI systems.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Write basic prompts to solve simple problems and tasks
- Use multimodal prompts that combine multiple input types
- Identify and remove sensitive information before submitting prompts
- Recognize common AI risks such as hallucinations, bias, and context drift
- Use AI tools to assist with writing, summarizing, and basic productivity tasks
