About this Event
IAS Residential Fellow Professor Yiming Zhang delivers a seminar on their research -
This seminar will explore how AI, digital twins, and probabilistic modelling can revolutionize SHM for high-value infrastructure such as bridges and wind turbines. I will present my latest research on:
(1) Physics-informed AI for damage detection, integrating structural mechanics and machine learning.
(2) Digital twin-based anomaly detection to enhance data reliability in real-time monitoring.
(3) Probabilistic AI for predictive maintenance, considering uncertainty in extreme weather conditions.
The session will include case studies from industry collaborations, followed by an interactive discussion on future research directions and interdisciplinary opportunities.
Arrivals from 11:45 am for a 12:00 noon start. For those joining in-person, lunch will be served after the seminar from 1:00pm.
International House can be found here on the campus map.
If these in person tickets have sold out, you can still register for the Zoom Webinar.
