The Arts Council is hosting AI & the Arts – Creativity, Copyright, and the Future, an informational session with Jennifer Iden, AI implementation coordinator and educator at Brevard Academy, on Wednesday, May 13, from 4-5:30pm.This interactive learning opportunity for artists of all backgrounds will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the creative landscape and what it means for artists, educators, and the broader arts community. We will look at how AI tools generate visual art, music, and writing, and discuss the opportunities they offer alongside emerging questions and concerns. This session will also touch on current court cases involving AI and copyright, helping participants build a general understanding of how issues like ownership, consent, and compensation are being discussed and shaped.
This gathering is designed to invite open dialogue, reflection, and practical understanding. Participants will leave with a clearer sense of how AI is influencing creative work, along with thoughtful questions to consider as this space continues to evolve.
Jen Iden is an educator and AI implementation coordinator at Brevard Academy, where she supports students and staff in using emerging technologies thoughtfully and responsibly. To register or learn more, email [email protected].
