News publications everywhere are following the evolution of generative AI, grappling with both its potential to increase efficiency and its risk to accuracy and trustworthiness. Please join us for a panel discussion with local journalists and educators to learn about and discuss AI and how it is impacting local media. Panelists include Judy Davidoff (Editor/President, Isthmus), Omar Waheed (Reporter and Photographer, Madison365), and Mike Wagner (Director, School of Journalism and Mass Communications, UW-Madison). This panel discussion and community conversation will be moderated by Angela Russell (Founder & Host, Black Oxygen Podcast). Please come prepared to ask questions and have an engaging conversation about AI and local journalism.
