How do we trust AI, and how does AI measure trust? Explore the future of healthcare automation and the hidden signals in human language.
About this Event

Join us for the next AI After Hours at I²C, where we bring together researchers, technologists, and innovators to explore two powerful frontiers shaping the future of AI: trustworthy healthcare automation and linguistic fingerprinting of human behavior.

➡️ | An X Networking Initiative | Huntsville, Alabama

This session will feature two compelling discussions that tackle one central theme: trust in AI systems—how we build it, measure it, and scale it.

--------------------

🔹 Part 1: AURA — Advancing Trustworthy AI Automation for Healthcare

Led by the AI Research Collaborative (ARC), AURA (Accessible Unified Research in AI) is redefining how healthcare systems leverage AI for quality measurement.

Healthcare providers today face enormous administrative burdens due to complex reporting requirements. AURA’s open-source initiative, MeasureAIde, is tackling this challenge head-on by transforming unstructured clinical data into structured, standardized formats for automated reporting.

Key highlights:

  • Converting clinical notes into structured data using Named Entity Recognition (NER)
  • Improving reliability through uncertainty quantification and confidence scoring
  • Enabling adaptive learning via retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) feedback loops
  • Building open, transparent, and trustworthy AI systems for healthcare

This is a rare opportunity to get an inside look at how AI is being designed to meet real-world clinical, regulatory, and trust challenges—while remaining open and community-driven.

--------------------

🔹 Part 2: Linguistic Fingerprinting — Measuring Trust Through Language

What if we could quantify trust just by analyzing how people speak or write?

Researchers at UAH are exploring exactly that through Linguistic Fingerprinting—a novel approach that uses LLM-generated sentence embeddings to predict latent psychological constructs like trust.

Instead of relying solely on traditional surveys, this method:

  • Extracts patterns from qualitative responses using AI
  • Identifies which dimensions of language correlate with trust
  • Achieves significantly improved predictive accuracy compared to baseline models

Applications extend far beyond research:

  • Human-AI interaction
  • Workforce analytics
  • Real-time sentiment and behavior modeling
  • Trust calibration in autonomous systems

--------------------

🔗 Why This Matters

From hospitals to human behavior, AI systems are only as valuable as they are trustworthy.

This session connects two domains—healthcare infrastructure and human cognition—to explore how:

  • We can build AI systems people trust
  • We can measure trust in real time
  • And ultimately, how these capabilities converge to shape the next generation of intelligent systems
