An AHS Hosta Leaf Show is a competitive exhibition where IHS members bring their best leaves and container plants to be judged by American Hosta Society-accredited judges. Entries are grouped by leaf size and color — similar to how a dog or cat show is organized — and awarded ribbons based on a point scoring system. Top honors include Best in Show and the Sweepstakes Award.Come enjoy the beautiful displays, learn something new about hostas, and celebrate a passion for gardening!
The competition is free and will be open to the public from 1:30–4:30. There will be members available to answer questions. This is a wonderful way to see the wide variety of colors and sizes available within the genus Hosta.
