AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED (certification course)
About this Event
American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR teaches compressions and breaths for adults, children and infants. Breaths will be with a pocket mask and mouth-to-mouth techniques. Participants will practice these skills multiple times, in addition to learning how to use and integrate an automated external defibrillator (AED) into a cardiac arrest. Participants will learn how to assist all ages groups in a choking event. The complete course is about 3-4 hours in length (depending on size and discussions). Students receive a 2-year certification, a textbook, and a pocket mask for their course fee. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to perform skills on the floor. We recommend that ages 12+ attend due to the body weight and strength necessary to perform compressions.
