Join us in a 4 day ride on the beach to support the American Heart Associate. You will need to raise money for the AHA as well as pay our lease horse/ camping fees to join. We will ride Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat, some days twice and 20 miles on Saturday. This ride is fun and exhausting. Strong walk trot riders with the possibility of cantering.
What we provide:
Horse, feed, hay, all the tack and gear needed for rides.
A spot in our campers (king size bed to share or a couch bed for single sleeper).
We will provide breakfast foods, lunch meat and dinner each night.
You will bring any additional snacks and any drinks you need for the week.
Proper riding attire is expected. (Long pants and boots).
The AHA has activities each night at the campground (dancing, music, games).
Each day we will get up and feed the horses, then tack up and ride the beach (W, T, F are 2 miles each way - S is 20 miles). If you can not tack your own horse, let me know asap, so I can teach you before we ride.
We will return to camp for lunch and then have the option to ride again before dark. We will return to the campground before dark each night.
Saturday's ride will take us all day, so we will leave early (by 7 am) and not return until 5 or 6 pm. We will pack lunch with us that day and eat via horseback.
Sunday is a pack up day.
You will be expected to drive yourself to Myrtle Beach on Wednesday, unless you are a Superstar donor and can arrive on Tuesday, then you can ride with us.
Each individual will sign themselves up on the AHA site as a fundraiser and submit all monies for fundraising directly to AHA.
Your cost paid to Bar C Ranch for horse lease and camping is $950. A $200 deposit is required to save your spot. The balance is due Nov 1 to participate in the ride.
