Agribusiness Australia | SW Accountants Evening Event
About this Event
With the Strait of Hormuz opening and closing from one day to the next and the largest oil supply shock in market history underway, prices remain volatile, and onshore holdings remain short of the IEA's 90 day benchmark.
Fuel is the input agriculture cannot quickly substitute. It powers the entire supply chain, from the planting and harvest windows to freight, processing and the cold chain, and demand is fixed by the season regardless of price. This is the third shock in a decade, and each time the lesson has faded faster than the exposure it revealed.
In this session, a panel of industry leaders and experts with a real stake in the industry and where it is heading, set out where things actually sit: the current situation, the policy settings, and what producers and agribusinesses need to be doing in the short term to protect themselves. From there the conversation turns to the harder questions. Where does the policy environment need to go, what role can alternatives such as biofuels and blended products play in reducing exposure, and how does the sector navigate the short, medium and long term?
The focus is practical. The panel unpacks what all of this means for agribusiness and for the nation, and what it will take to drive the solutions that deliver a more certain, less volatile fuel future.
Your ticket includes the opportunity to connect with others across the industry, hear from leading experts, and enjoy drinks and nibbles.
