Please come along to this important AGMSubject: Resignation of Core Committee and Call for New Leadership
Dear Members and Friends of Ickleford Sports and Recreation Club and wider village community
After three years of service, the Core Committee of ISRC, the Chairman (Gemma Smart), Treasurer (Greg Trevelyan), and Secretary (Ricky Pashley) hereby tender our resignations effective at the conclusion of the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April. We believe it is the right time for new leadership and a fresh perspective on how the club should be managed to ensure continuity and growth for the years ahead.
To support a smooth transition, we invite members from our existing sport sections and the wider community to consider stepping into these roles and to attend the AGM in April to express interest. We will provide full handover support and documentation to incoming officers.
Role summaries to guide prospective candidates:
• Chairman: Provides overall leadership and governance of the club; chairs committee and general meetings; sets agendas in consultation with the committee; represents the club in external matters; ensures delivery of the club’s vision, compliance with relevant policies, and effective engagement with sport sections and stakeholders.
• Treasurer: Oversees all financial matters; prepares budgets and forecasts; maintains accurate accounts and reporting; manages banking, payments, and receipts; ensures timely financial statements for the committee and AGM; supports fundraising and grant applications while safeguarding financial controls and compliance.
• Secretary: Manages official correspondence and records; prepares and circulates agendas and minutes; maintains the membership register and statutory documents; coordinates AGM and elections; ensures policies, procedures, and communications are up to date and accessible to members.
We respectfully ask members who are willing to contribute their time and skills to step forward. Expressions of interest can be made at the AGM in April, where the nomination and election process will be conducted in line with the club’s constitution.
