About this Event

Join us for a very special evening as we gather together to celebrate Women's History Month at Copita in Sausalito on Tuesday, March 10. The festivities will be led by the original Agave Girl herself, Joanne Weir, star of the PBS program "Joanne Weir's Plates and Places" and author of Tequila: A Guide to Types, Flights, Cocktails and Bites.

Agave Girls promises to be another fun, informative and entertaining evening of tequila and cocktail tasting, delicious food and wonderful camaraderie. Enjoy passed appetizers, a tasting flight of tequila, and a three-course sit-down dinner paired with tequila cocktails featuring the wonderful award-winning tequilas of Volans. As in the past, we'll start with a cocktail reception and a chance to mingle with Joanne and other like-minded women. Then we'll enjoy a dinner featuring Copita Sausalito Executive Chef Candy Diaz's culinary wonders paired with Volans' ultra-premium tequilas.

Volans is a family-owned tequila made at El Pandillo distillery in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico. What makes Volans truly unique is the blend of three distinct water sources used in production: deep well water from over 450 feet below ground, spring water from an artesian source high in the mountains, and rainwater collected during summer months. This gentle mix of mineral-rich and soft waters creates Volans' signature flavor profile. Crafted using a traditional 100% mechanical tahona process by master distiller Felipe Camarena, each batch honors centuries-old methods while delivering exceptional quality and taste.

The doors open at 6pm and the seated dinner starts at 6:30pm. The cost for this event is $125 per person and includes tax, gratuity and Eventbrite fees. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Debuted in 2004, Joanne Weir's Agave Girls event offers women a celebratory environment to enjoy and appreciate the flavor and history of tequila. There really is no better way to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women than with a dinner with other women at a woman-led business. And – oh yeah – tequila!

If you love delicious Mexican food, fine tequila, and great company, you won't want to miss this fun and enlightening evening. Grab a friend or come make some new ones – but purchase your tickets soon as this event sells out quickly. You're not going to want to miss this event!
