Agates IndyBookstore Tour featuring poets from Agates vol. 88

The League of Minnesota Poets is showcasing its highly anticipated Agates Volume 88, a vibrant poetry collection celebrating the creative spirit of Minnesota’s literary community. This year’s publication features the work of more than 80 distinguished and emerging poets from across the state, each contributing unique voices to a tapestry of contemporary verse.

Over the past months, the anthology’s poets have appeared at more than 30 independent bookstores throughout Minnesota, sharing their work with audiences in every corner of the state.

“The 2025 anthology is a testament to the depth and diversity of Minnesota’s poetic talent,” said a League spokesperson. “By bringing these voices directly to readers in independent bookstores, we’re bridging communities, fostering a shared love for poetry and supporting our much loved Minnesota bookstores.”

The League of Minnesota Poets has long been a champion of poets and poetry, offering opportunities for publication, performance, and community engagement. The 2025 anthology and reading tour continue this tradition, supporting both established and emerging writers while strengthening the bonds between Minnesota’s independent bookstores and the communities they serve.

Q: Do I need to register?

A: Please do if at all possible! Use the registration button above. Registering ahead of time helps us with scheduling, book ordering, and other decisions that are made several weeks prior to the event. The more info we have ahead of time, the better.

With a registered list, we can also easily and directly communicate event updates such as postponements or cancellations.

If you are unable to sign up online, please call or visit the bookstore and register with a bookseller.

Walk-ins are always welcome, but seating decisions are made based on registered attendance and seating priority is given to registered attendees first.

Q: Are in store events free?

A: Yes, Magers & Quinn events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Q: Are masks required?

A: Masks are not required to browse in the store or at most events. Some events may come with a request for masking for the health and safety of the author. If so it will be noted here whenever possible.
