We begin our journey through the Advent Season and to the light that will come into the world through a manger with an Agape Meal Service.An agape feast or lovefeast is a term used for various communal meals shared among Christians. The name comes from the Greek word ἀγάπη (agape), which implies love in the sense of brotherly or familial affection.
The service will take place in the Fellowship Hall and will incorporate a light breakfast into the day's liturgy (coffee and service at the same time? YES!).
Come and let us sweetly join
Christ to praise in hymns divine;
Give we all, with one accord.
Glory to our common Lord.
Hands and hearts and voices raise;
Sing as in the ancient days;
Antedate the joys above,
Celebrate the feast of love.
