Happy Ag Week 🧡 This week is all about celebrating Colorado agriculture with the leadup to Ag Day and the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ. Come to the table and celebrate ag with us! ⭐️ Tuesday 9/2 ⭐️
• Breakfast Burritos with CAS Student Council & Ag Ambassadors
Kick off Ag Week with some fuel for the day with free breakfast burritos and real conversation. This casual gathering gives students across the College of Agricultural Sciences a chance to connect with student leaders and peers from different departments.

• Ram Country Line Dancing
Celebrate our land-grant roots and agricultural heritage with a night of line dancing, boots, and fun. Sponsored by the Department of Animal Sciences and College of Ag Dean’s Office, this event brings together students from all majors for a lighthearted, active evening that honors CSU’s rich traditions in Western and rural culture.

⭐️ Wednesday 9/3 ⭐️
• Ag Week Picnic
Join faculty, staff, and students from all over the college for a community picnic that reflects the heart of CSU’s agricultural family. With great food and community spirit, this event strengthens connections across our college, reminding us that our work in ag is grounded in shared relationships and a sense of place. Sponsored by Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust and the Soil & Crop Sciences department.

• C.P. Gillette Museum of Arthropod Diversity Open House
Get ready for a day of discovery at one of the West's largest and most fascinating insect collections! Join us at the Gillette Museum for an exclusive open house where you’ll dive into the intriguing world of bugs and explore research happening at CSU. Don’t miss out on guided group tours and uncover the secrets of our incredible insect exhibits with expert guides. Enjoy tasty treats as you mingle with fellow bug enthusiasts.

• World Without Cows screening
World Without Cows offers a richer, science-driven perspective on the role of cattle—and agriculture more broadly—in nourishing people, ecosystems, and economies. Rather than prescribing a one size fits all dietary shift, it encourages viewers to grapple with complexity and rethink assumptions. RSVP for the film here:

⭐️ Thursday 9/4 ⭐️
• Farmer’s Market in Honor of Tony Koski
This CSU-grown Farmer’s Market showcases local producers, alumni ventures, and the importance of regional food systems. Ram Bucks give students the chance to shop and learn about food access while engaging with Rams Against Hunger and the Office of Engagement and Extension and lots of local vendors. It's not just a market, it’s a celebration of local resilience and community. Sponsored by the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture.
🕙 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• CAS Quiz Bowl
Hosted by the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the Dean’s Office, this spirited trivia competition brings together ag students to test their knowledge on everything from soil science to ag policy. It’s a chance to showcase academic excellence and department pride while having fun with classmates and chances to win prizes!

⭐️ Friday 9/5 ⭐️
• Ag Fest
End the week on a high note at Ag Fest, a vibrant outdoor celebration of agriculture at CSU. With booths, giveaways, and interactive exhibits from departments, Ag Fest is a powerful reminder of the diversity, creativity, and real-world impact of ag students and faculty. It's a time to connect with the broader campus, share what we do, and show how CSU agriculture is shaping a better future.
🕙 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• Come to the Table with HLA at Trial Gardens
Network with students and faculty of the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Department and enjoy local food and drinks during this Colorado horticulture and green industry mixer. No RSVP needed.
🕓 4-6 p.m.
️⭐️ CSU Ag Day: Saturday 9/6 ⭐️
Come to the table to honor CSU’s roots, elevate scholarship and celebrate our community’s agricultural producers.
• Nutrien Ag Day BBQ
The pre-game Nutrien Ag Day BBQ features the state’s agricultural growers and producers preparing Colorado’s premier outdoor barbecue from quality Colorado food products to fund scholarships for agricultural sciences students.
🕐 1-4 p.m.
• CSU Football vs. University of Northern Colorado
Head to Canvas Stadium after the barbecue to cheer on our CSU Rams during the annual orange-out football game.
