County Ag Plastic Recycling events. Drop-offs are accepted from 10 AM until Noon at the Sauk County Highway Shop located at 620 Linn St, Baraboo.
Plastics that can be accepted at this program include silage bags, bunker covers, and hoop film. Plastic baler twine will not be accepted but can be used to tie loose plastic into bundles. No bale wrap or net wrap/mesh is not accepted at this program as it is incompatible with the other plastic materials and should be landfilled. Please do not bring it to the collection or hide it in the bundles or supersacks. Loose plastics are not accepted. The plastics must be as clean and dry as possible to maximize recycling opportunities. All plastics should be in Recapture Bags or tied into tight, manageable bundles with twine. Recapture Bags are available at the Sauk County Land Resources and Environment Department office. Each Sauk County farm may receive up to 5 bags for free each year. Recapture bags can hold about 200 lbs. of plastics.
