The Scandal of Frank Spooner tells the hundred-year-old story of the first Director of Education for Bedfordshire.
Mark Steinhardt was given access to the telegrams, memos and notes of phone calls that were kept as the scandal unfolded, so he has been able to reconstruct it almost moment by moment.
Frank Spooner was a complex man with a secret life. But funding a secret life can be expensive. Your salary might not be sufficient…
This a true story, thoroughly researched, but there are choices the audience has to make. And there will be time for a couple of traditional tales. Something lighter to finish the afternoon.
