Join us for an afternoon of poetry with Gary V. Powell! As our featured guest, Gary will present his work, including from his most recent poetry chapbook, "The Largesse of the Maidenhair Fern," and his new collection of short fiction, "Men in Love."
After the featured presentation, we will break for refreshments, book sales, and socializing. All guests are invited to share for the open reading to follow!

Gary V. Powell, a mostly rehabilitated lawyer, lives with his beautiful wife near the shores of lovely Lake Norman, North Carolina. He is a Pushcart Prize nominee for both his poetry and
short fiction, a deGroot Foundation Writer of Note, and winner of the Press 53/Prime Number Fiction Prize. His short story collection, Men in Love—Stories, was published by Main Street
Rag Publishing, Spring 2026.He’s also the author of three poetry collection including most recently, The Largesse of the Maidenhair Fern, His poetry and fiction appears in many literary reviews and magazines.
