Come and learn about what happened to Fort Laramie after the military left in 1890. Learn about the early history of the town of Fort Laramie, the families that moved into the old military buildings, who the Civilian Conservation Corps was and why they were here, and how Fort Laramie became part of the National Parks Service. This will be a full weekend of living history, guest speakers and special programs.This event is free to the public. Be sure to pack sunscreen, water, and snacks. No food will be available for purchase at event. Vintage sodas will be sold available for sale in the enlisted men's bar.
