ABOUT THIS EVENT:Join us at the Hermosa Beach Museum for an exploration of the water that sustains us! Thursday, February 12, Water Replenishment District (WRD) Director Rob Katherman will share the history of groundwater engineering. Created in 1959, the Water Replenishment District transformed an unregulated system of water management into an organized means of renewing and sustaining water tables. Be sure not to miss this presentation of the organization's history, feats of engineering, and ongoing efforts!
MEET THE SPEAKER:
Rob Katherman is an Environmental Engineer, Urban Planner and small business owner. He has served as an elected Director for the Water Replenishment District for the past 20 years and is a former PV Library Trustee, Torrance Water Commissioner and RPV Planning Commissioner.
Rob serves on the Urban Water Institute Board of Directors and the LA Harbor College Foundation Board.
Rob has been married to Marilyn Greer Katherman for more than 45 years and is a proud granddad to 10 wonderful grandkids, 7 of whom and their parents currently live with Rob and Marilyn.
