Join Us for the 2025–26 Great Michigan Read Tour in Port Huron!We are excited to announce that the Great Michigan Read tour is coming to Port Huron at the Donald Dodge Auditorium! Join us for an inspiring evening with author Curtis Chin, who will share insights from his memoir, Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant. This compelling book chronicles his experiences growing up as a gay Chinese-American in 1980s Detroit, highlighting the significance of his family's restaurant, Chung's Cantonese Cuisine, a beloved establishment in Detroit’s historic Chinatown for decades.
Event Details
The evening will kick off with a moderated conversation and book signing with Curtis Chin at the Donald Dodge Auditorium 200 Grand River Ave., Port Huron, MI 48060 at 6:00 to 7:00 PM. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the author and have your book signed!
Afterglow Event
But the night doesn't end there! Join us for an Afterglow event with Curtis Chin at the Blue Water Allies Center from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
