New Approach Methods in Australian Biotech: Regulatory Science and Commercialization
About this Event

Animal-Free Science Advocacy is proud to announce its Satellite Event as part of the 2026 AusbioTech Conference! Join Dr. Natalie Anderson and key stakeholders for a rare opportunity to collaborate on this pivotal domain in science.

Advancing New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in Australia requires coordinated action across research, industry, investment and policy. NAMs are a national priority, with the 2026 National Health and Medical Research Strategy recommending an Australian non-animal model platform, consistent with CSIRO recommendations.

This AusBioTech satellite session will bring stakeholders together to consider what such a platform should include and how it could be integrated into Australia’s life sciences ecosystem. Discussion will focus on practical pathways to accelerate adoption, including translation, regulatory alignment and funding.

The session will also showcase Australian capabilities, highlight leadership and examine how collaboration can overcome barriers to implementation.

Immediately after the session there will be an opportunity for networking and refreshments.
