Join me for an unforgettable afternoon as we celebrate the release of #Afromantic: Poems of Love, Loss and Lessons, the newest collection from Kansas City’s own Kael “Davar” Long. On Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Vine Street Brewing Company will be filled with the rhythm and soul of poetry, community, and culture.
Afromantic is a powerful tapestry of words exploring the complexities of love, the pain of loss, and the wisdom that comes from lived experience.
Through his intimate and honest verses, I want to invite readers and listeners alike into a space where vulnerability meets strength, and where poetry reflects the deepest parts of my heart.
Guests will enjoy live readings, the opportunity to meet the author, and the chance to have their copies signed, all while savoring the craft brews of Vine Street Brewing Company.
