In this workshop which is brought to you by AfroComicCon and the new group behind Power in P.L.A.Y., we will be Exploring Black Identity Development (B.I.D.) through guided discussions and creative activities participants will:

  • Reflect on personal experiences and how they align with this journey.

  • Examine the model’s strengths and limitations within the Black Experience.

  • Collaboratively develop a Superhero character embodying resilience and growth to illustrate how we navigate and heal our racial identity.

By the end of the workshop:

Participants will have the opportunity to transform the language and concepts they created during the session into an AI-designed character. They’ll receive a printed version of their character to take home as a keepsake. There will also be a raffle for a special T-shirt related to the workshop!
