About this Event
An in-person and livestream conference showcasing youth Robotics, Environmental Science Research, Animation, and Comic Book Production for registered community and Philly Tech Week attendees.
The event aims to:
- Showcase youth to STEAM career pathways
- Highlight culturally responsive Afro STEAM education
- Platform Youth STEAM research and developed skillset
- Bridge universities, community organizations, and youth education advocates
- Promote student-centered education models
- Increase community representation in STEAM industries

Youth Demonstrations & Research Session
Info: Students will present their robotic machinery, environmental science projects, Career Aspirations Website development, African Proverb Digital Poster Design. Attendees will move throughout the space, visiting each youth scientist’s table to engage with their work, ask questions about their Afro STEAM experience, network, and explore innovative ideas.

Info: The Black Brilliance in STEM Expo is a virtual K–12 showcase celebrating creativity, innovation, and the powerful legacy of Black excellence in science, technology, engineering, and math. This event is in partnership with United Shades of STEM Inc.
Rakiba Mitchell's Virtual HBCU Tour encourages and exposes students to Historically Black Colleges and Universities with excellent reputations in STEAM and Black Studies departments. The tour encourages majoring, double majoring, or minoring in Black studies and Sciences degree programs.

Info: Afro STEAM and Friends Networking Session. A GREAT opportunity for our youth and community to explore resourceful programs and leadership to meet potential partnerships!
