Kalil Touré (Guinea / France)

Originally from Guinea and now based in Toulouse, France, Kalil Touré has dedicated his life to preserving, performing, and transmitting the rich dance traditions of West Africa.
Kalil began his professional training with the dance company Sanké before joining the prestigious Ballets Africains de Guinée, the renowned national dance and percussion company based in Conakry. During his fifteen years with Ballets Africains, he toured extensively throughout Europe, America, Asia, and Africa, performing on international stages while developing a strong foundation in both artistic excellence and dance pedagogy.
Kalil possesses extensive knowledge of traditional West African dances and has built an impressive repertoire deeply rooted in the history, rhythms, and cultural identity of Guinea and West Africa. Throughout his career he has collaborated with some of Guinea’s most respected artists, including the legendary Italo Zambo, touring together in numerous countries and contributing to the international promotion of Guinean culture.
A true ambassador of Guinean dance, Kalil shares his passion with remarkable precision, generosity, and attention to detail. His teaching style combines musicality, technique, and joy, creating an inspiring learning environment for dancers of all levels. His classes are energetic and deeply rooted in tradition, offering students a rare opportunity to learn from an artist whose career has been dedicated to the highest standards of Guinean dance.
Mamadouba Bangoura (Guinea / Sweden)

Originally from Kindia, Guinea, and now based in Helsingborg, Sweden, Mamadouba Bangoura is a highly skilled master drummer, musician, and teacher.
Having grown up surrounded by music and rhythm, djembe has been at the centre of his life since childhood. His deep connection to the instrument, combined with years of experience performing and teaching, has made him a respected artist known for both his musical talent and his ability to share knowledge with others.
Mamadouba is appreciated for his patience, warmth, and clear teaching style. He creates a welcoming atmosphere where both beginners and experienced players can feel comfortable learning and progressing.
Whether you are touching a djembe for the first time or already have experience, this workshop will provide valuable insight into traditional Guinean rhythms and the joy of playing together through music.
