Come celebrate going back to school and our African community at our resource fair - it's all about learning, citizenship, and fun!
About this Event

Welcome to the AfriPAC Back-to-School, Citizenship & Community Celebration!

Join us at Alief Community Park for a free family-friendly event that brings together education, community, and opportunity as we prepare students for the new school year.

Families will have access to school supplies (while supplies last), a Houston Dynamo Youth Soccer Clinic, hosted for kids 6-12 years old and a wide range of free community resources designed to support African Diaspora, Black immigrant, and other underserved communities across Houston.

Throughout the event, attendees can connect with trusted community organizations offering:

• Back-to-school resources
• Citizenship and naturalization information
• Know Your Rights education
• Voter registration and civic engagement opportunities
• Health and wellness information
• Community services and local nonprofit resources
• Family-friendly activities and more

Whether you're preparing your child for school, looking to become more engaged in your community, or seeking information about available local resources, this event is an opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate together.

Please Note Important Registration Information:

• Registration is required.
• School supplies are limited to one (1) school supply packet per family while supplies last.
• The child receiving school supplies and a parent or legal guardian must be present at check-in to receive supplies.
• Families participating in the Houston Dynamo Youth Soccer Clinic must also register separately through the Houston Dynamo waiver portal: . Registration for this Eventbrite event alone does not register your child for the soccer clinic.

• We have a limit of 150 families
