About this Event
About the event
Join us for our African Professionals Network event, "Pipeline to Power in BIPOC Civic Empowerment," where we will discuss the challenges faced by BIPOC individuals in public policy, government, and advocacy fields. Despite the constant pursuit of the Black vote, BIPOC candidates in Worcester and the Commonwealth often find it difficult to navigate the political system.
In the event of this year’s national election, the event will feature discussions with BIPOC elected officials, candidates, and advocates as we explore these challenges and discuss strategies for our community to build year-round power and support more African/Black candidates to run and win. Our goal is to inspire change and development within the BIPOC community and grassroots advocacy organizations. This event includes happy hour, networking, and panel discussion of BIPOC Civic Empowerment, including this year's election.
