Join us in celebration and explore the fun and dynamic art form of West African Drumming and Dance.
On the weekend of the 6th and 7th of September we will be running a special 2 day workshop in Sydney's Inner West on Gadigal County - Eora Nation with Bangoura Ke and Sibo Bangoura, the Kings of West African Drumming and Dance. We also have the Queen of West African Dance joining us this year, Rachel Bangoura.
Bangoura Ke and Sibo Bangoura are internationally recognised Master Drummers and Dancers who come from a long family line of Griots (cultural guardians) from Guinea, West Africa. They are both amazing performers, patient teachers and love to share their rich knowledge of traditional West African Drumming, Dance and culture.
The workshops are catered for all levels. So whether you are a beginner or advanced level student there is something for everyone.
People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

CANCELLATIONS:
If you cancel before 24th Aug full refund (less $15 admin fee).
After 24th Aug, and before 5th Sept, then you get a 50% refund.
If you cancel on the day or don’t show up then there’s no refund.

LUNCH/FOOD:
Bring your own food/drink and we’ll have a picnic lunch out on the lawn.
Sunday there’s an organic market on site so grab yourself some yummy food.
There are also local shops/cafes you can grab a bite to eat from just 2 mins walk from the hall.

Accomodation:
We do not provide accomodation however there are a lot of cheap places to stay in the area. When searching for accommodation just remember that Marrickville is located within Sydneys Inner West.
Make sure you check bus and train routes before booking Accom.
428 Bus (City-Canterbury) will drop you right outside the Addi Rd Community Organisation.
From Stanmore Station it’s a 16min walk.
From Marrickville Station it’s a 23min walk.
