Drumming in a group can reduce stress and increase feelings of relaxation and wellbeing.
The African Drum Circle is a weekly group who meet to play the djembe a goblet shaped drum from west Africa. Skilfully guided by our patient teacher Eddie we learn the techniques and rhythms to create exciting rhythms. Eddie has been playing and running djembe workshops in Suffolk for the last 15 years and is a very clear and patient teacher.
No musical experience is needed and we have plenty of spare drums for people to borrow. It’s a fun social activity which takes your mind off everything else for a while.
You can find us at CHIp Studios on the corner of Rose Lane and Turret Lane in the centre of Ipswich on a Friday evening 7pm - 8.30pm. Come and join us to play and try something new!
£10 per session.
