African American Health Program (AAHP) Community Day 2026

This EXCITING and FUN event is designed to support the overall health and wellness for residents in Montgomery County, Maryland. We will address chronic illnesses and health disparities in our communities, what preventive measures are available to heal, manage and eventually eradicate these conditions and increase optimal wellness community wide. ALL ARE WELCOME!!

Registration is REQUIRED for ALL attendees - (Adult and youth)

We will kick off AAHP Community Day with a community walk with AAHP, GirlTREK and Walk With A Doc at 8:00AM!!

• Doors open at 9:00AM ~~ The official programs begins at 9:30AM and ends at 2PM
• INTERACTIVE live health polling Q&A session
• Voter Education Fair - The Future Is NOW!!
• LIVE podcasts featuring MoCo Black Coffee and Off the CUPF Podcasts
• Great music, line dancing, event swag bags, free items from exhibitors/organizations and COOL healthy/healing activiites for everyone!!
• Fun and exciting activities for children and youth
• Informative and engaging workshops, free health screenings, interactive health and wellness exhibit hall
• Delicious lunch and water will be provided for all attendees while supplies last
• The campus is accessible by bus and METRO (Red Line - Takoma and Silver Spring stations.) Ride On buses are available from the Metro station to the main campus.
• Free Parking is available located at the Montgomery College East Garage, 7726 Fenton Street, Takoma Park, MD. 20912. Signs and volunteers will be available to guide participants to parking garages and to the Charlene N. Nunley Student Services Center on the main campus.
