Africa on Stage Presents: Fela! The Concert

FELA! The Concert is coming to Newark Symphony Hall as part of its historic Centennial celebration. FELA! The Concert explores the world of Nigerian, Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti using his pioneering music (a blend of jazz, funk and African rhythm and harmonies). The production will bring audiences closer to his fascinating and controversial life as an artist, musician, composer, and political activist. During its on-Broadway run, Fela! won three Tony Awards and the soundtrack album was nominated for a Grammy.
