About Our Speakers

Ryan Elinkowski currently serves as the Executive Director of St. Jude House in Crown Point, Indiana. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree In Human Development and Family Studies from Purdue University with a specialization in Child and Family Services.

Ryan has spent the last 13 years serving adults, children, and families through his work at the St. Jude House and Boys and Girls Clubs in Lake County. As an experienced leader in the social services field, Ryan excels in the areas of operations management, programming, and strategic planning, yet his most admirable leadership traits are those of compassion and genuine relationship building. Ryan was selected among his Indiana peers to co-chair Region 1 for domestic violence shelters and providers and works tirelessly to advocate for and implement a trauma informed care approach in shelter services. Most recently Ryan spearheaded the creation of a Survivor Advisory Council at St. Jude House, as well as a Mobile Advocacy Initiative, that will provide vital data to support the need for similar programming statewide.

He lives happily and humbly, in Northwest Indiana, with his wife of 12 years, two daughters and two dogs.


Lisa Schneider serves Purdue University Northwest as a Director of Development. Lisa collaborates with PNW leadership to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors and secure major gifts that support the strategic goals of the university. She brings over twenty-five years of experience in non-profit fund raising and management to her role. Her experience includes serving as chief development officer and regional director for organizations including Humane Indiana, March of Dimes, and Lake Area United Way. Lisa currently serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals board of directors as president of the Northwest IN chapter. Her service leadership includes Service League of Northwest Indiana as well as the Women’s Giving Circle of Crown Point Community Foundation. Lisa is a graduate from the University of Iowa, Leadership Institute of Purdue Northwest, and holds the accreditation as certified fund-raising executive through CFRE International. Most recently, Lisa has earned certification as fund-raising manager through the Lilly School of Philanthropy.
