Afincao Team Auditions

Afincáo is excited to announce that we will be having team auditions here in Charlotte, NC. We would like to invite anyone in the Charlotte area who is interested in improving upon their salsa and latin dance foundations.

Who should audition?

All levels of dancers. We will be holding auditions for three levels of teams that cater to various experience levels.

Afincao Pro: Advanced dancers looking to perform and travel frequently throughout the year.

Afincao: Intermediate to advanced dancers who want to take their dancing to the next level through training and performing or a mixture of both.

Afincao Training: Beginner/ Intermediate dancers who want to focus heavily on training.

What to expect at the auditions:

This open call is for anyone who wishes to join the team as well as those who are just looking to grow as dancers.

The first hour will begin with a registration/information period followed by a brief workshop featuring a short footwork/ partner work excerpt from our upcoming routine. This first hour will serve as the primary audition for the intermediate team. The second hour will be geared toward assessing individuals. This is where we rehearse and perform couple by couple the excerpt learned in the first hour.

What to wear: Come in comfortable dancewear (shorts, yoga pants, dance shoes, or socks if you do not own dance shoes).

Cost: $10
